Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for creating, growing and managing an account base. Accountable to directly identify and initiate development efforts. Develop and execute a sales business plan that will achieve the corporate revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new business within AIT’s key services (including air, ocean, road, rail, and related services).
  • Identifying, initiating, and developing relationships with clients that provide long‑term and profitable revenue streams (cross‑selling of services).
  • Creating and executing a sales plan (field sales) to achieve targets, budgets, and quarterly/annual goals.
  • Managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, solution selection, pricing, negotiations, and closing.
  • Providing support and advisory services to existing clients and expanding cooperation through regular business reviews (review meetings).
  • Conducting sales and negotiation meetings, planning and executing customer visits.
  • Preparing offers, cost calculations, presentations, and commercial documentation.
  • Handling customer correspondence and ensuring professional communication.
  • Maintaining and updating CRM data (pipeline, sales opportunities, cross‑functional activities).
  • Ensuring efficient communication between Sales/Customer Service, Operations, and Management.
  • Carrying out other business tasks related to the role.

Qualifications

  • Fluent command of the Polish language (C1/C2) and very good command of English (minimum B2).
  • At least 3 years of B2B sales experience in logistics/freight forwarding/supply chain.
  • Higher education (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Additional education in forwarding/logistics/SCM – nice to have.
  • Strong relationship‑building and trust‑building skills, good understanding of the customer market, and effective stakeholder management.
  • Very strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent work organization, independence, and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
  • High self‑motivation, proactivity, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
