Overview

The Executive – Quality Management System (QMS) is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems across all locations. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, customer standards, and ISO management systems while promoting operational excellence, risk management, and a culture of quality and safety. Working closely with operational teams, the position supports audits, process improvements, compliance initiatives, training, and performance monitoring to drive safe, efficient, and compliant business operation

Responsibilities

  • HSE Management Systems & Compliance - Develop, implement, and maintain integrated HSE Management Systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws, occupational safety requirements, Civil Aviation regulations, and JAFZA/DP World HSE standards. Lead internal, external, and certification audits while maintaining all HSE documentation, policies, procedures, and records.
  • Operational Safety & Risk Management - Conduct risk assessments (RA) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for warehousing, cargo handling, freight forwarding, transportation, and logistics operations. Ensure safe handling of Dangerous Goods (DG) in compliance with IATA and IMDG regulations, and regularly monitor workplace, contractor, and vendor safety compliance.
  • Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions - Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, prepare detailed reports, and implement, track and ensure closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
  • Training, Awareness & Competency Development - Design and deliver HSE induction programs, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions covering fire safety, emergency response, manual handling, PPE usage, and hazard identification. Ensure all mandatory certifications and training records are maintained and up to date.
  • Emergency Preparedness & Response - Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP), coordinate fire drills and evacuation exercises, and liaise with relevant authorities such as Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, and JAFZA to ensure effective emergency preparedness across all locations.
  • Environmental Management & Sustainability - Implement environmental management initiatives focused on waste reduction, proper waste disposal, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices while ensuring compliance with applicable UAE environmental regulations.
  • Multi-Site HSE Coordination - Oversee HSE compliance and operational safety across the Dubai Head Office, Cargo Village operations, and Jebel Ali Free Zone warehouses by conducting regular inspections, audits, and coordinating closely with site supervisors and operations teams.
  • Performance Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement - Maintain HSE dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as LTIFR, TRIR, and incident statistics, prepare periodic management reports, ensure document control in accordance with ISO standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent degree in any field 
  • 5-6 years in freight forwarding, transportation, delivery operations, field supervision, warehousing, or logistics operations. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years supervising field executives, delivery teams, transport vendors or customer-site operations. 
  • Industry exposure - Freight forwarding, airfreight operations, last-mile delivery, white glove delivery, warehousing, project logistics, data-center / high-value cargo operations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • HSE management systems implementation and regulatory compliance management.
  • Health, safety, environmental, and quality management system administration.
  • Risk assessment, hazard identification, and operational safety management.
  • Incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
  • HSE auditing, inspection, documentation, and performance reporting.
  • Emergency response planning, regulatory coordination, and multi-site HSE oversight.
  • Field delivery and transportation operations management 
  • Customer-site coordination and delivery supervision 
  • White glove / high-value cargo handling awareness 
  • Shipment tracking, milestone reporting, and POD governance 
  • Team supervision, shift planning, and field resource deployment 
  • Vendor, driver, warehouse, and handling-agent coordination 
  • Issue resolution, escalation handling, and root-cause analysis 
  • Safety, compliance, security, and customer-site protocol awareness 
  • Documentation control and operational reporting 
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, CargoWise or similar logistics systems preferred 
  • Dangerous Goods awareness training where applicable 
  • Customer-site induction or white glove handling training where applicable
